April 6, 2020

To:       All Julia Day Parents;

From:   Judith P. Hoyle, President Julia Day Board of Managers

            Sharon L. Kelley, Executive Director

As we approach this critical period of the coronavirus, the Julia Day Board of Managers has decided to close the center as of Thursday April 9, 2020 until the restrictions are lifted. We feel it is in the best interest of our staff, our children and our families not to risk the health of those closest to us.

This was not an easy decision but a necessary one given the situation. The center will be closed indefinitely. We have not forgotten about graduation. It will happen even if it occurs in the summer. Our teachers are working on a fun and exciting summer program which we will post on the Website and on our Facebook page when it is finished.

All of our registered children have a space here at Julia Day when we reopen. I will be here during the shutdown. If anyone has questions or concerns, please call 203 736-2554 or email juldaynursery@sbcglobal.net.

Sincerely,

Sharon L. Kelley, Executive Director

Julia Day Nursery is now over 100 years old!

Julia Day Nursery 100th Anniversary Emblem

That is quite an accomplishment if we do say so ourselves. We are proud of the fact that we have served and continue to serve families in the Lower Naugatuck Valley and New Haven county with their childcare needs. Why not take a few minutes to see what we can offer your child, we’re sure you’ll be impressed. If you think our program might work for your family, please give us a call to set-up an appointment to tour the school.

100 Years… We must be doing something right!
