It’s always fun when Miss Jen from the Ansonia Public Library comes to visit Julia Day. The children enjoy Flannel Boards, Puppets, Songs and a great story.

This morning, children across the United States welcomed individuals from their communities to join them in reading “Piper Chen Sings” together. State Representative Kara Rochelle visited Julia Day to read with us. “Read for the Record” is the largest shared reading experience and celebrates children’s early language and social-emotional development

Thank you Steve DiRienzo from the Valley Arts Council for spending Artsy Thursday with us. The children enjoyed creating their own flowers, it was so fun to see how each child let their individual creativity show- no 2 flowers came out the same

Family Friday! What a great way to end the week celebrating children and those who support their learning- parents, teachers, families, and the community. The weather today was so ify but in the moments before our walk the sun pushed through the clouds to warm us on our walk through downtown. What an amazing time …

Miss Janine shared some favorite songs with us, incorporating music with sign language. We signed to the songs as we sang them and had fun requesting some of our favorite songs.

Everyone had so much fun when children’s author Rick Arruzza and his dog Dexter came to visit Julia Day. After reading a story and playing some games, the children were introduced to Dexter who was the hit of the day.
